Job description
Due to an increasing workload and expanding client base across the UK, we are looking to recruit a new Sports Turf Technician.
They will be working in a varied role in the business which will include the renovation and maintenance of sports fields, fine turf and amenity areas. There is also the requirement for the applicant to assist with repairs and maintenance of machinery.
The role is based out of Southampton but our clients are based all across the South Coast including Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Sussex, Surrey & Berkshire, usually meaning that you will be at a new client every day travelling the South Coast.
We are looking for someone who wants to learn new skills within the sports turf industry, help us develop and go the extra mile when required. They will be working in a varied role in the business which will include the renovation and maintenance of sports fields, fine turf and amenity areas. There is also the requirement for the applicant to assist with repairs and maintenance of machinery.
This role is for an average of 45 hours a week, standard hours are 7am - 5pm with an unpaid hour lunch but start and finish times may adjust depending on the job of the day. Overtime is common.
We can offer a competitive salary depending on skills and experience.
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year dependant on skill & experiance.
An applicant must have:
A full UK (or equivalent) driving licence.
Good time management in completing their work.
The ability to work on their own initiative.
The ability to communicate with customers professionally and effectively.
An ideal applicant would have:
C1, C1+E or higher driving licence.
Experience operating turf care equipment such as compact tractors, line markers, etc.
An interest in sports turf, machinery, maintenance & repair.
Self-drive, motivation and determination to complete projects to the highest quality.
